City Park Public Art Tour

About This Tour

Tour participants will visit the historic sculptures, fountains and gateways of City Park on this tour, as well as discuss the “City Beautiful” movement and design elements of City Park.

The June 2 tour will meet at the Thatcher fountain at 17th Avenue and City Park Esplanade and be led by Karen Ray, focusing on art on the west side of the park.

The June 20, July 22 and Aug. 28 tours will meet at “Snowmastodon” by Ken Ullberg on the west side of the Denver Museum of Nature & Science and be led by Karen Ray, focusing on art on the east side of the park.

All other tours will be led by Rosalie Martin, meeting at the Thatcher fountain at 17th Avenue and City Park Esplanade, and cover art throughout the park. Don’t forget to make time to check out the City Park Farmer’s Market, open Saturdays May 4-Oct. 26, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. A great way to start or end your tour!

$5 per person. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No cost for children 10 and under.

Tours are rain or shine, however should conditions become dangerous because of severe weather, Denver Public Art reserves the right to cancel or delay/pause the tour. If any tour is canceled before it is 50% complete, we will reach out to you to offer tickets to an upcoming date or a refund.
