About This Activity
We have created a series of activities around artworks in the Denver Public Art collection. “The Spirit of Togetherness” by Yvonne Muinde is a mural that features portraits of local and national historic figures who were significant in the Black American experience. You can find this mural above the arched entryway into the main area of the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library. Who do you recognize? The man holding the picture is “Daddy” Bruce Randolph, a local philanthropist and businessman who hailed from Five Points. Download these pages and match the faces you see in the mural to the names you see listed on the worksheet.
