About

“The work of Denver sculptor Joe Cipri combines inspiration and talent. From a family of famed water-colorist, Joe Cipri learned that art begins as an expression and ends with a passion. Leaving his job as a firefighter for the past thirty years behind him, he retreats to his sculpting studio in Westminster.

Joe: “Since I was blending two careers, the solitude of the studio brings the inspiration.”

Best known for his firefighter memorial, “Taking The Heat,” unveiled in downtown Denver in 1991, Cipri’s sculptures adorn corporate offices and public parks nation-wide, a remarkable accomplishment for a self taught artist. His innovative designs vividly capture the spirit of his subjects.
