About This Piece

From the Artists’ Proposal:

“World Family” weaves throughout the interior of the Family Crisis Center, ranging from mosaic murals at the main entrance and the rear intake reception area, along with additional ceramic surprises throughout the building. The work is intended to bring visual interest to a variety of locations. The overall themes for the murals include: different cultures, arts, animals, plants, nature, water, agriculture and foods. The mural has ceramic tiles glaze painted by youth residents of the Family Crisis Center and also students from the Denver School of the Arts.
