WONDER AWAITS AT SCHLESSMAN LIBRARY

Tsogo Mijid completed fabrication of his stunning artwork, “Wonderland,” for the Schlessman Library and plans to install the piece in the spring of 2026. Inspired by Tibetan prayer wheels and reimagined for a modern library setting, this interactive sculpture celebrates the diversity of the Lowry neighborhood. It’s designed to spark imagination and creativity for all—regardless of age, gender, race or religion.

AN ARTISTIC UPDATE ON THE COLFAX CORRIDOR

Five talented artists/organizations, Access Gallery, KoCo Collaborations, Justin “Juhb” DeCou, Lui Ferreyra and Janelle Stanley, have finalized vibrant designs for 15 new bus rapid transit stations between Pennsylvania and Yosemite Streets on Colfax. The first installation is tentatively scheduled for January at one of the stations.

A SPOTLIGHT ON BURNS PARK CLASSICS

Work continues on the amazing collection of artworks at Burns Park. We recently added new rock and mow bands to several of the sculptures, which help protect them from damage from the large riding mowers. We are also continuing progress on creating a new version of the Verhelst sculpture, which will be installed in 2026. These timeless pieces continue to add character and charm to one of Denver’s beloved green spaces.
