About This Piece

The bronze statue represents "Christopher Columbus" by welding two standing stylistic human forms together. Each human form has their two arms and four faces extending in the four directions of the wind - North, South, East and West. The statue is encircled by three spherical stainless steel rings strategically placed outlining the a planet open to discovery (apparent by the openness of the spheres).

Donated by Alfred E. and Anna E. Adamo in 1970.
